Phone Scams

I just received a very disturbing phone call today.  Someone claiming to be "PC Bits" called a customer of mine.  They claimed there was "an immediate security risk" to their computer.

This is a scam folks.  NO legitimate company or government agency EVER calls people claiming to know their computer is infected!

PC Bits cannot monitor your computer and I NEVER call my customers without their permission.

Please take some time to read these three web sites!  Educate yourself and your friends and family about these scammers.

If you receive a phone call from anyone claiming to know your computer is infected, do not listen to anything they say!!!  State clearly that you know this call is a scam and that you are reporting this call to the FBI.  Then HANG UP!

You can report the scam here: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
